About e-bikes
E-bike is the name given to state-of-the-art bicycles with an integrated electric motor that provides assistance while pedaling.
A series of sensors detect the pedal force applied and a software determines the amount of assisted motor power to be given to the cyclist. This function is called assisted pedaling.
The main difference between an e-bike and an electric bike is that the motor is activated exclusively by pedaling, helping the cyclist and making the vehicle easier to use compared to a normal bike, particularly when going uphill.
Even those who are not trained will be able to face more demanding routes, steeper slopes and longer distances which with a traditional bike would have been too challenging.
Thanks to a less intense but more even effort, e-bikes are the ideal way to exercise gradually, steadily and without stressing the joints.
